Happy times and Sad ones too.

We’ve had four sailing seasons since we went round Britain and you will have noticed that there have been very few posts since. To be fair the blog was specific to the trip and the charity we chose.

Happy times

We have travelled to the Brittany coast and to the isles of scilly several times since, continuing our adventures, meeting new friends and travelling with older ones. Good and happy times. In April this year on her 60th birthday, we married, honeymooned in Corfu, then spent the next months on boat trips.

Sad times

After our last trip to the west Country and the Scilly Isles, Louise began to get very tired. This summers exceptional heat and extended time on the boat were making everyone tired and lethargic, so we just took things at a slower pace. Then at the end of August Louise began to feel quite ill, we got her to Hospital where she was diagnosed with Leukaemia and kidney failure. A week later after a huge amount of medical intervention, she sadly passed away. It was been a huge, and devastating shock. Not only to me, but her family and friends. There’s now a huge void in our lives where she used to reside.

Rest In Peace sweetheart.
